# Disable adding apps to workspace

Is there a way to make apps impossible to drop into a Workspace. I’ve disabled adding it through the + button, but still can be opened as window and added manually.

Hi,

Do you want to disable dragging an app to workspaces at all or just into a particular workspace?

If you’d like to disable an app to be dragged into any workspace, use `"allowWorkspaceDrop": false`in the top level of the application definition.

```auto
{
    "name": "some-app",
    "title": "My app",
    "type": "window",
    "allowWorkspaceDrop": false,

... 

}

```

You can also make a workspace not accept apps to be dragged to it by setting `allowDrop` to `false` under `"config"` in the workspace layout definition file (e.g. customer-workspace.json):

```json
"config": {
    "allowDrop": false
},
"context": {}

```
