## Question

I’ve set up an SSO login app for io.Connect Desktop. How do I check its logs?

## Answer

If you’ve defined your SSO app with a standalone app definition, it’s an app like any other, so standard app logging applies. Logging for apps via the io.Connect APIs is disabled by default. Until you enable it in the SSO app’s definition, the io.Connect logger isn’t active in the SSO app.

This is easy to miss when you’re troubleshooting authentication issues in the SSO app, such as token refresh failures.

**Enable logging**

Add the `"allowLogging"` top-level key to your SSO app definition (the app named `"sso-application"` in your system app store):

```auto
{
    "allowLogging": true
}
```

**Logs location**

io.Connect Desktop logs are located in:

```auto
%localappdata%\interop.io\io.Connect Desktop\UserData\%ENV-REG%\logs
```

`%ENV-REG%` stands for the environment and region of your io.Connect Desktop installation (for example, `DEMO-INTEROP.IO`).
