## Question

The `bridge.log` file contains repeated errors of this shape:

```auto
[JumpListManagerDispatcher] [ERROR] SW-JumpListManager - Error in dispatcher: System.Action
Microsoft.WindowsAPICodePack.Shell.ShellException (0x80070578): Shell Exception has occurred, look at inner exception for information.
   at Microsoft.WindowsAPICodePack.Taskbar.TaskbarNativeMethods.SetWindowProperty(...)
   at Microsoft.WindowsAPICodePack.Taskbar.JumpList..ctor(...)
   at Tick42.StickyWindows.JumpLists.JumpListInfo..ctor(...)
   at Tick42.StickyWindows.JumpLists.JumpListManager.UpdateJumpListAppIdInternal(...)
   ...
```

Are they a sign of issues with the platform?

## Answer

The errors originate at the operating system level and are not triggered by io.Connect Desktop itself. io.Connect Desktop logs OS-level events of this kind deliberately, so that they are available for troubleshooting and diagnostics later.

### What is `bridge.log`?

You may get confused because of our io.Bridge product and think bridge.log saves info about it.
Actually, `bridge.log` is the log file of the .NET component in io.Connect Desktop that is responsible for the logic behind the windows.

By default it’s written to the `UserData\<ENV>-<REG>\logs` folder, where `<ENV>-<REG>` is your environment and region: see [Logging \> Overview](https://docs.interop.io/desktop/capabilities/logging/overview/index.html).
