Yesterday we got a question if we’re going to have an AI bot in the docs, so I wanted to hear everybody’s opinion about what will be most useful for you?
- A better AI-enabled search in the docs site
- Full conversational AI bot that can search our docs/github/community and answer exact questions based on it that lives in the docs site or community
- An MCP server with our documentation/code samples that you can simply hook into the tool you use be it Claude, GitHub Copilot, Codex, etc for both chat and coding
- Anything else?
For me an MCP server here I think would give the most results for effort
Often when I am using the docs on the site I do a keyword search and find the relevant thing as a platform owner and often look at this when doing version upgrades
If we had MCP it would likely be then utilised more so by developers every day, proably finding out libraries and methods that they were otherwise unware of

That’s what I was thinking too! I think people will want to go to doc sites less in future and delegate the syntax to agents.
I actually haven’t thought about about app developers (thanks for that) who just want things to work without reading through hundreds of pages. Now we should figure out how to provide the “right” info to the AI without costing it too many tokens.
