Answer:
Yes. Auto updates are supported on both Windows and macOS when you build io.Connect Desktop via the Seed Project, as long as you ship the supported artifact types: Squirrel .exe installer on Windows and .dmg disk image on macOS. Auto updates are not tied to the platform mode.
– On Windows, you can use auto updates with both Default and Advanced platform modes, as long as you build an EXE installer via the Seed Project.
– On macOS, auto updates work with the Default platform mode (Advanced mode is Windows-only) when you ship a DMG built via the Seed Project.
