What is io.Intelligence?

Watch last week’s webinar where Bob Myers, Andy Menzies, and Krasimir Krastev introduced “io.Intelligence”, our latest initiative focused on AI enablement.

io.Intelligence provides product capabilities and expertise for deploying AI solutions, particularly human-directed copilots integrated into their running desktop or browser-based environments.

io.Connect unifies applications into a single control plane, providing a governed, context-rich environment for AI. This approach ensures agents can fit seamlessly into existing workflows, adding value quickly and safely. With io.Connect, it’s easy to leverage existing permission layers, identity, and access management systems, ensuring Large Language Models respect established security policies.

The session also includes a live demo of io.Assist, an intelligent assistant designed to integrate with interop.io workflows.

Some very good points from @robert.myers:

  • Less is more: Targeted tools and workflows, with consistent evaluation, lead to better results than throwing any mcp, extension and agent you can find in the game.

  • Token and context efficiency: AI usage via API can incur unexpected costs. It’s tempting to feed the LLM every doc, example, and piece of knowledge you have, but managing context is crucial for achieving useful results.

  • Skill sets: Prior API development skills don’t immediately translate to AI deployment success.

  • Trust is critical: Data accuracy and reliable actions are even more important today, and can often be achieved by directing users back to trusted, validated interfaces.

  • Shift in mindset: Moving from AI as an answer-provider to an action-taker is key to maximizing value.
